Why I’m Running

I grew up in Waconia, attending elementary school at Southview and later Waconia High School. Waconia was considered one of the top districts in the state academically and I was proud to have graduated from Waconia Schools. After living overseas and interstate, we relocated back to Waconia to raise our family here. I want my children and all Waconia children to have as great of an education as I did.

ISD110 has had a challenging last few years, operating out of Statutory Operating Debt since 2018. While our current school board has worked diligently to reverse this and get us back on track, we need out of the box thinking and creative solutions to retain our amazing teaching staff while still reducing our debt levels and rebuilding our general fund.
